The skills we actually use, all in one place

Today Club Jam members showed off their favorite Claude skills. This page is the take-home version: every skill we talked about, what it does in plain English, and where to get it.

No jargon. No gatekeeping. Just the good stuff. 🧡

First, the basics

Wait, what is a "skill"?

A skill is a little instruction folder you give Claude. It teaches Claude exactly how YOU want a job done, so instead of explaining yourself every single time, you just say the magic words and Claude already knows the drill. Think of it as a recipe card you write once and reuse forever.

1

You teach it once

The skill file holds your voice, your rules, and your steps for one job, like writing captions or planning your week.

2

Claude remembers

Whenever that job comes up, Claude follows your recipe instead of guessing. Same quality, every time.

3

You just say the words

"Caption this video." "Catch me up." "Roundtable this." Two seconds of typing, a finished result back.

Jam's list

The four I use every single day

These run my business with me. Each one is built in my voice, and each one is easy to make yours.

🪑

The AI Advisory Board

jam-roundtable

Ever wish you could ask Alex Hormozi, Gary Vee, Brené Brown, and Amy Porterfield what to do about your business? This skill turns Claude into your personal advisory board. You bring a decision, each advisor weighs in with their real frameworks, in their real voice. And they will push back on you. This is not a hype squad.

Say this: "Roundtable this: should I raise my prices?"

Make it yours: open the SKILL.md file and replace my bio with yours (what you sell, who you serve, your numbers). Swap in any advisor you want, just name them.

Morning Briefing Assistant

jam-morning-briefing

Your own executive assistant that starts your day for you. It checks your Gmail for messages from real humans (skips the newsletters), looks at today's calendar, checks yesterday's meetings for anything you owe someone, and hands you a warm 3 to 5 sentence briefing. No giant report, just what you need to know before your first sip of coffee.

Say this: "Good morning Claude" or "what do I need to know today?"

Make it yours: connect Gmail and Google Calendar to Claude first (Settings, then Connectors), then edit the voice notes in SKILL.md so the briefing sounds like you.

Social Caption Writer

jam-social-captions

The exact skill I use every time I post. Give it a video, an image, or just a topic, and it writes ready-to-paste captions for TikTok, Instagram, and LinkedIn, each one different because each platform is different. You get 2 to 3 hook options, the right hashtags, and one clear call to action per post. My single biggest content time-saver.

Say this: "Caption this video" or "write me a LinkedIn post about [topic]"

Make it yours: paste 20 to 50 of your own posts into Claude, ask it to describe your voice, then replace my voice section in SKILL.md with yours.

SEO Blog Writer

jam-blog

Turns a topic or an article link into a complete, publish-ready blog post: headline, SEO title, meta description, FAQ section, schema markup (the code that helps Google AND AI tools like ChatGPT find you), and a full 1,500 to 2,000 word post. Not an outline. The whole thing, ready to paste into your website.

Say this: "Write a blog post about [topic]"

Make it yours: swap my brands and CTAs in SKILL.md for your business, your offer, and your links.

Your homework

Pick ONE skill and try it this week

Do not download all twenty. Pick the one that made you go "oh, I need that," get it working, and use it for a week. That is how skills stick.

1

Grab the file

Members: download it from the classroom. GitHub ones: use the green Code button, then Download ZIP.

2

Give it to Claude

Upload the skill to Claude (in claude.ai go to Settings, then Capabilities) or just ask Claude to install it for you.

3

Say the magic words

Every skill on this page lists its trigger phrase. Say it, and watch Claude do the whole job your way.
